Tour Details
Our weekend retreat at Malinche Volcano is an unique inmersive mindfulness experience to reconnect with yourself.
We will start early morning by doing breathing excercise at 3,100 masl just right before starting our hiking into the beautiful forest of Pines and Oyameles. After passing the forest, the hike gets a bit steeper as long as it goes up to the summit. At the last section before the summit, we will have to scramble a small rocky slab to reach the summit.
Once we reach the summit, lunch time will come to be enjoyed at the top of the sixth highest peak in Mexico at 4,460 masl.
Returning to the starting point will demand but be rewarded... We will drive 15 min to the Hacienda Sta Barbara which was built in the XVII century where we are going to have a delicious and nutritious dinner cooked by local chefs. After dinner, our last activity designed to prepare youself to fall in deep peace guiding you to fall into a rejuvenating sleep. Time to sleep and spend the night at this cozy unforgettable noisless place.

Trekking / Hiking
Trekking and Hiking are oftentimes used as synonyms, but that’s incorrect! There are big differences between them.
Hiking involves a long energetic walk in a natural environment on established hiking trails or footpaths for a day or overnight. It’s done for pleasure, to reconnect with nature and calm the mind. Highly recommended to lower stress and to breathe fresh air. You should be able to walk for at least 3 hours.
Trekking involves a long vigorous hike in a wild natural environment for multiple days. It can be done off hiking trails and frequent navigation skills are required. It’s more challenging than hiking due to multiple days of hiking; it can be anywhere from 40km up to 24,00km and up. You must have good physical and mental condition to walk at least for 9 hours and multiple days in a row.
